How to Remove Ink From Clothes and Fabrics

When it comes to removing ink from fabric and clothes, there are a few methods you can try. It really depends on the type of fabric and the materials you want to use for removal:

Because most households have white vinegar handy already, the most convenient option is a combination of white vinegar and warm water! You can mix 1 tablespoon of white vinegar with a quart of warm water for a cleaning solution. Then soak the fabric in this solution for an hour before rinsing with warm water and air-drying. If you need to, repeat again, just make sure to rinse thoroughly and dry between soaks. Note: The only issue is that this isn’t a great option if the fabric you’ve inked is cotton or linen.
Another option you might consider requires dishwashing detergent and ammonia, but unlike option 1, it’s safe for cotton and linen! For this option, mix 1 quart of warm water, ½ teaspoon of dishwashing detergent, and 1 tablespoon of ammonia into a solution. Then, soak the fabric in the solution for 30 minutes. Rinse completely with warm water before air-drying. Good as new!
The last option requires rubbing alcohol. Mix rubbing alcohol with warm water in a 1:1 ratio. After you’ve diluted the rubbing alcohol with warm water, use cotton balls or paper towels to gently dab at the stain. It’s essential to dab and not rub, or you’ll spread the stain across the fabric. You should be able to blot the stain away once it’s loosened. Note: You may need to repeat the blotting process several times as it’s a more delicate option than soaking the entirety of the fabric. Afterward, rinse with warm water and let it dry.

7 Easy Steps to Replace Trodat Stamp Ink

It might seem complicated to replace Trodat stamp ink in stamps like the lightweight Trodat Micro Printy Stamps, but it’s extremely simple with these 7 easy steps:

Purchase your ink replacement pad! Make sure it’s the pad that is made for your stamp. All of the replacement stamps can be found on our website.
Place your stamp on a sheet of scrap paper with the Trodat logo facing away from you and locate the thin rectangular insert that indicates the ink pad that is currently in there.
Push down on the top of the stamp while pressing the small buttons on the side of the top of the stamp.
Rotate the stamp so the Trodat logo is now facing away from you and press the button below the logo. You should see the ink pad pop out slightly! Pull out the ink pad fully.
Unwrap your new ink pad and insert it into the slot. Make sure the ink side is facing up!
Press down on the top again to click the pad into place. Do a few test prints on some scrap paper to make sure you inserted it correctly.
Please recycle your old ink pad! All of Trodat’s ink is non-toxic!
