- Use a planner – If you start every school year off using a planner, but by the third week you’ve given it up, don’t sweat it. Using a planner correctly is a skill, and like all skills, it just takes practice. Set time aside every afternoon to go back through your planner and look over what you’ve written down, or write down things you forgot earlier.
