Staying Organized at School with Rubber Stamp Station

The new school year is right around the corner and for all those messy students out there, you may be wondering how to stay organized once you’re finally back at school. Each school year is a fresh start, so Rubber Stamp Station is here to help you make the most of it by offering a few tips and tools on how to stay organized at school.

Tips and Tools To Help Stay Organized at School

Staying organized can seem like a no-brainer to some students, but for others, it’s no easy task! That’s why we made a list of a few tips and tools to help you stay organized at school this fall.

  • Use a planner – If you start every school year off using a planner, but by the third week you’ve given it up, don’t sweat it. Using a planner correctly is a skill, and like all skills, it just takes practice. Set time aside every afternoon to go back through your planner and look over what you’ve written down, or write down things you forgot earlier. Use a bookmark to mark the place and section off a little part of every day for all your subjects. This will help you keep your planner organized.
  • Color Coordinate – Whether you use binders or folders, color coordinate them with your notebooks! Use a red notebook and a red folder for math, green for Science, and blue for English (or whatever colors you choose!) This will help you keep the right subjects in the right folders, binders, and notebooks. You can even take it a step further by highlighting in your planner with the same coordinated colors. A custom subject stamp can also help label and remind you which papers go with which subjects. Ink pads come in a variety of colors to help you color coordinate and stay organized.
  • Date stamp worksheets and assignments – One great tool to help you stay organized with due dates is a date stamper. A Trodat Date Stamp will allow you to quickly stamp due dates on worksheets and assignments so you never forget. You can also use it in your planner to help you remember when things are due versus when they were assigned.

50 Uses for Rubber Stamps – Part 1 (Parents Edition)

parents organizing child's school supplies

Not quite sure which stamp you want? Here are some great ideas to help you narrow down which kind of stamp you need and how to put your new stamp to use. Part 1 is for all the parents out there who might be looking for a little extra help to organize their day.

1. Mark your kids’ clothes

Do you keep getting your kids’ laundry mixed up? Do your kids’ clothes mysteriously go missing in the locker room? Misplaced towels at the swimming pool? Misplaced jerseys after a soccer game? Don’t worry. We’ve got your back! Stamp your name, address, and phone number on all your kids’ clothes, towels, and jerseys so you never have to worry about losing them again.

2. Mark your kids’ lunch bags

Does your child have food allergies? Does he or she have a generic-looking lunch bag that is easily mixed up? Stamp your child’s name and relevant food allergy warnings on the lunch bag so teachers will know what you child can and cannot eat.

3. Mark your kids’ backpacks

Many parents get frustrated with kids who have a habit of forgetting important things (like backpacks) in strange places. If your child does this, you might want to consider stamping your child’s backpack with their name, address, and phone number.

4. Mark your kids’ school supplies

Some parents might be surprised how often school supplies go missing. Mark the larger items such as notebooks and folders with your child’s name to ensure they never get lost or mixed up with anyone else’s. You can also go one step further and stamp the school subject such as Math, Science, or English on the folder or notebook to help keep your child organized.

5. Create bookmarks

Every bookworm need cool bookmarks. Encourage your child to read by making handmade bookmarks. You can even make it a family project! When you’re done, your child will have cool custom bookmarks to encourage them to read and learn.

6. Check off chore lists

Does your child have a list of chores they need to check off every day? Having a custom stamp can make the chore list a little more fun! Use one of the hundreds of graphics from our logo library to create your custom stamp. It can be something as simple as a star or a smiley face.
