How to Emboss Using Rubber Stamps

High-Quality Rubber Stamps

A few months ago, we gave you the scoop on the process of embossing and how you can use it for both creative and functional purposes. However, we didn’t tell you about the fact that our high-quality rubber stamps can be used for embossing. In order to emboss with rubber stamps, you’ll only need a few supplies:

  • High-quality rubber stamps, which you can design and order from our website
  • Card stock
  • A heat source, such as an embossing gun or a hair dryer
  • Embossing pigment or ink
  • Embossing powder

Once you’ve gathered these items, follow these seven easy steps to begin embossing with rubber stamps:

    1. Select the high-quality rubber stamp you would like to use and firmly press it into your embossing pigment or ink, making sure that the face of the stamp is coated evenly and fully.
    2. Choose the piece of card stock you’d like to emboss. Lay it on a flat surface and place your stamp on the card stock, applying a fair amount of pressure so that the ink/pigment will be transferred.
    3. Once you’ve done so, lift the high-quality rubber stamp straight up so that the impression isn’t smeared and set the stamp aside.
    4. Now, quickly sprinkle some embossing powder onto the stamp impression before the ink/pigment starts to dry. The powder will add a sparkly, metallic finish to the impression.
    5. Lift up the card stock and tilt it so that any excess powder falls back into the container. You may need to gently shake or tap the card stock to get it all off.
    6. To ensure that the embossing powder stays on your card stock, you’ll need to hold a heat source above the impression until the powder has been fully melted.
    7. Once the powder is melted and dry to the touch, you’re finished! Now, all that’s left to do is repeat the process with other high-quality rubber stamps if desired.

As you can see, it’s simple and quick to create gorgeous, impressive embossing impressions using high-quality rubber stamps and a few other inexpensive supplies!
